An Ode to Shakespeare
to the tune of ‘Happy Birthday’

 


Many years ago now
Playgoers went ‘WOW!’
For Shakespeare had been uncovered:
And our lives coined anew.

 

There are heros who die;
Chaste maidens who sigh;
Great Monarchs to chastise us;
And clowns that are wise!


So on this fine day
We’ll gather all to say
Without Will we all loose
Thus ‘tis Shakespeare we choose
