Dear Bruce,

 

On behalf of all the women on the film course, I would like to thank you for giving us the privilege of being able to participate in such a valuable programme.  We all learnt a tremendous amount in a relatively short period of time and have benefited enormously from the experience.

Ioana was extremely helpful and patient with all of us and it was such a shame that it lasted only a short period of time.  However, it was great how we all pulled together despite problems with half the group being transferred out or being unable to continue for any number of various reasons.  We also were able to overcome numerous problems that the Prison Service put in our way.

The work that LSW does within prisons is truly wonderful and it gives such a tremendous boost to all of us.  You help empower us all through giving us the motivation to be creative and confident and, most importantly, by giving us the will to dream.  Without you our lives would be be a lot bleaker and more negative.

I hope that you will be able to come to Cookham soon as we can't wait to see you again.  We also look forward to seeing Ioana again.  Will you thank her and the Prisons Video Magazine on our behalf.  I look forward to seeing the films we have made plus Bully Me, Bully Who? and 'How do You Know My Daughter?' shortly.
